All good — we really enjoyed this traditional hotel — the food was outstanding and the staff were very helpful. Besides, the location was absolutely perfect and fantastic for our stay, within 25 minutes' walk of a historic wooden castle. The venue was in a shopping area.

The location is particularly good, about a 10-15 minutes' walk from Kyoto International Manga Museum. the room I booked was reasonably large and came with a beautiful garden in addition to the bedroom. - the hotel staff was attentive and not annoying. - This was my second excellent stay here, and I would definitely book again.

Had a great experience at a traditional Ryokan in Kyoto. Loved the unique experience of staying in a room with tatami floors and a beautiful garden view. The attentive staff provided excellent service and the meals, both Japanese and Western options, were delicious. Conveniently located near the Geisha district and other popular sights in the city.
The bathroom and toilets felt a bit cramped and could have been more spacious. Additionally, the traditional Japanese breakfast may not be to everyone's taste, so having more options for breakfast would have been appreciated.
